Finland aims to become a global pioneer in recycling by 2025 and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035. The construction industry plays a crucial role in achieving Finland’s sustainable development goals and its road map is laid out in the national Green Deal Agreement2050 program. For Rani, this means that we are committed to increasing the use of recycled raw materials in our protective films for the construction industry. Our goal is for 40% of our protective films for building materials to comprise recycled raw materials by 2027.
Through our ongoing product development, we have taken several measures to ensure our films and production processes are sustainable. Our films are now thinner and stronger, while maintaining all their required technical properties. We continue to increase the amount of renewable and recycled raw material used in our films where ever it is technically possible and is of benefit to the customer. We continuously optimise our printing process to make it more efficient, safer, and greener. Our aim is to help our customers find the best solutions to meet their sustainable packaging challenges.
