Rani Plast Acquires Swedish Film Manufacturer Kullaplast

News

Finnish company Ab Rani Plast Oy has acquired the Swedish film manufacturer Kullaplast, uniting two successful family-owned businesses. The acquisition expands Rani Plast’s product range and enables the company to serve its customers more effectively. It also strengthens Rani Plast’s geographic position.

Kullaplast is located in Höganäs in northwestern Skåne, Sweden. The factory produces packaging film for the construction and food industries, among other sectors. The company currently employs around 50 people. Its main market is Northern Europe.

Stefan Kaptens, CEO of Rani Plast, describes the acquisition as a natural next step in the company’s long-term growth strategy:
“Through this acquisition, Rani Plast brings together the strengths of two successful family-owned businesses, enabling us to serve our customers more effectively across our markets,” he says.

Jonas Skoglund, former CEO and owner of Kullaplast, says that Rani Plast is a reliable steward for the company’s employees and customers, as well as for the local community:
“I am pleased to hand over a successful business to Rani Plast, a company which also has a long tradition of offering high-quality packaging solutions and upholding strong values. I am confident that this acquisition will benefit all parties involved,” he adds.

The transaction will take effect on December 1, 2025.
