Plastic film brings about new and innovative products News 18.8.2022 Thin and durable plastic films are being used for an ever-wider range of applications. We, at Rani Plast, continue to develop technical, hygienic, and flexible films for our customers to convert into new and unique products that serve specific needs. We work closely with our customers to foster innovations that bring about important technical features for their products. Driving product innovation through collaboration is one of the cornerstones of our business. “We aim to help our customers with solutions that improve their business and, in turn, their end products. Our plastic films are integrated into a variety of value-added products, including food packaging, building materials, and hygiene products,” says Patrik Högkvist, Business Development Manager at Rani Plast. Rani Plast’s product portfolio includes numerous product groups that serve other purposes compared with those of our packaging materials, emphasizes Högkvist. “Our plastic films add properties that are requisites for the purposes of our customers’ end products. Think, a moisture barrier, welding layer, or a feature that provides stability to the customer’s converted products.” We aim to help our customers with solutions that improve their business and, in turn, their end products. Solutions for varying needs The construction industry integrates our films in the production of technical laminates as shock-absorbing layers under parquet floors and as moisture barriers in roofing materials. “We also supply films for various technical laminates, like edge protectors, and special products such as bubble wrap to protect building materials against damage from shock and vibration during transport.” Another significant sector that relies on our products is the healthcare service. Good hygiene is crucial in the healthcare sector, which is why there is a high demand for materials that absorb liquid without losing the material’s shape and fit. Examples of this are products in the hygiene product segment that combine our polyethylene film with nonwoven materials. Good hygiene is crucial in the healthcare sector, which is why there is a high demand for our products. The safe and hygienic transport of fresh produce is of the utmost importance in the food industry. Our films are suitable for the lamination of flexible packaging, which technical features secure safe packaging and handling of fresh food produce. “From improving durability to bettering standards of hygiene, our packaging solutions are made to meet a wide range of requirements. While our collaborative approach has resulted in many successful products, we never sit back. In fact, we are constantly further developing our films to stay on top of our customers’ needs,” concludes Patrik Högkvist.
