Sustainable product features
Recycled raw material can be used even in the most demanding packaging solutions, and the film can be recycled along with ordinary plastic waste. Industrial film made of recycled raw material can be customised for the customer’s processes and product requirements.
Bio-based raw materials are mainly used in household products, and are fully recyclable in conventional recycling streams. New raw material sources suitable for bioplastic manufacture include polyethylene, based on tall oil or edible oil.
Technical product features
A barrier film, usually consisting of multiple layers, protects the contents from oxygen, moisture, UV radiation and odours. The effective oxygen barrier prevents oxygen penetration of packaging a hundred times more efficiently than ordinary films. The oxygen barrier is provided by an EVOH layer. The oxygen barrier does not affect the film’s recyclability.
MDO film is thin, but mechanically very strong. It can also be used in the manufacture of monomaterial laminate structures that are ecologically more sustainable. Because less raw material is used, less material needs to be discarded. The MDO-film is fully recyclable.
One of the biggest challenges facing the rapidly growing Waste-to-Energy (WtE) industry is maintaining the integrity of wrapped waste bales as they pass through its demanding handling and logistics process.

RaniCollationShrink EcoL is a high-performance beverage shrink film manufactured from 50% recycled raw material for use primarily in the beverage industry. Rani Plast is now developing a similar product comprising 70% recycled material.
